meet our founders

jorge sánchez hernández

Founder & CEO

serial founder who dropped out of college, worked at google and got an mba. he’s lived in 4 continents and speaks 5 languages. jorge has led educational programs impacting 40,000+ children and young people. outside of The Journey he’s a coffee nerd and plays ultimate frisbee.

lauren katz

co-founder

growth and marketing leader who loves helping startups grow. prior to The Journey, lauren led teams at google and airbnb. she’s also a wizard at excel and can speak chinese. at home, she has twin boys and is a chocolate connoisseur.
